The Afro life artiste and Peru crooner Nigerian Fireboy DML will be live in Nairobi. The show dubbed Fireboy Live In Nairobi is slated for the 9th of April 2022. According to the organizers, Fomo Events, the show will be taking place at the Ngong Race Course Waterfront Park. Gates will open from 2 pm till late. Fireboy was to perform at the Afro-Fusion Festival in Nairobi last year July however, the show got cancelled.

The Afrobeat artiste who brings his own vibe to the genre released his debut album, Laughter in 2019 and in 2020 his sophomore album Apollo was released with various hits. Peru was Fireboy’s biggest hit with the remix featuring Ed Sheeran got an estimated 16 million views in 10 days on YouTube and the views have continued to grow.

The song was certified gold in the UK less than three months after its release. He has a few accolades under his belt such as the Headies for the Album of the Year (Apollo), AFRIMA’s fan favourite and many others. He credits John Bellion, Wande Coal and Passenger as being instrumental to the foundation of his sound.

Fireboy enjoys reading fiction, writing poetry and everything that pertains to football. Fireboy live in Nairobi will be the artist’s first time performing in Nairobi.
